How to Reset Password on Income tax Website

Dear All,
Procedure to pretrive forget assword of e-filing
1. Click on forget password Link – Link
2. Enter your PAN on Screen which appears after above click and Press OK.
3. Please select on of the three option which appears after the above click
- Enter Secret question answer
- Enter E-filing Acknowledgement No.and Bank Account No.as mentioned in E-Return of AY11-12
- Enter PAN details
Once you fill the required details as per the choice of option you opted you will be able to either reset of recover your password for your account on https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/index.do.
Under First two options you can reset the password online , while in 3rd option password will be mailed to your registered email id.
