MYTH ABOUT CA EXAM
Listen to this Article
During Exam Time we study for long hours, the level of Stress affects the working of our brain , the fear of syllabus not complete keep us awake late night , these are most common situation during CA/CS/CWA or any professional Exam Time , I am listing from my experience some common Myth related to CA Exam :-
1.POOR RESULT PERCENTAGE IN PAST CA EXAMS: let your mind get clear to it that “Institute isn’t our enemy ’’, yes marking of your answer sheet is getting tougher so that only deserving crack the exam, but this is also truth that if your Answer to the question is completely correct no one can deduct your marks, so stop blaming like a loser that you failed because Institute cutting marks and increasing your difficulty. This will only disturb your mind without any proof, facts and figures to justify marks slashing syndrome with which you are suffering.
2. EXTENDED STUDY HOURS IS MUST: - your brain capability is not measured by the hours you devoted but by the concept getting clear from hours you spending. I have heard many CA aspirants coming out with statement like “If a candidate is not studying more than 12 hours a day, then he/she can’t be able to crack the CA exam”. Believe in getting your concepts clear rather than being worry about hours, the aim should be to have regular study, uninterrupted studies during routine study hours, and every topic should be covered. Routine study hours are needed than extended study hours and don’t deprive yourself of sleep a day before exam thinking that staying up late / all night before an exam means you will remember more and get better marks, a good sleep will help in reduce stress and will organise things you have studied, a good sleep will help you remember things and it will be easy to memorise things you studied when you begin writing.
3. FRIENDS AT TUITION & SENIOR ADVICE: when we go for CA tuition we hear our friend teasing us with “you will top this time ’’ or “you are studying all the day’’ which may excite you to raise your confidence of getting pass in the exam , the gossip and rumour being spreaded by friends on the basis of recently declared CA results, don’t let your mind get disturbed with useless stuff of which there exist no proof. Most of the time we look for senior Advice , they may guide with general understanding but you have to learn to make your own strategies , know your capabilities , believe in yourself . Remember Rank holder never advice they just put forward their strategies and their way of cracking the CA exam. Some senior advice are rather confusing like you must practise hard , competition is tough , study this don’t study this , concentrate more on this chapter etc
4. THE MORE PAGES YOU WRITE THE BETTER MARKS YOU WILL GET: - Quality and to the point answer is more important than quantity. Short and concise answers that cover the relevant points accurately are preferable to 2 – 3 pages that don’t say much at all. So don’t be stressed out if a person next to you is on his 3rd answer booklet! Marks are awarded for the content of your answer sheet; the evaluator of your paper wants to know if you know what they had asked in question and don’t expect you to write everything you know about so just be precise in writing answers considering the marks allotted to the question .
5. THERE’S NO POINT IN DOING LAST MINUTE REVISION, IF I DON’T KNOW IT NOW I NEVER WILL. :- You should revise once till you drop before an exam , a quick scan of your summary notes on last minute revision can help to reassure that you have done all you can, if nothing else. It’s true that at last minute revision you cannot cover all your topics / subject material but you could review your mind once by looking through summary notes.
