Suggestions and Important Topics for Paper 1 - Financial Reporting ( CA Final )
1. Start with AS as it has highest weightage around 40 marks, First and last question consists of AS only. Refer Practice Manual Questions and Module examples straight forward 2-3 questions will be out of them. ( Important AS - 30, 31, 28,26,22, 17, 16, 7, 5,4 )
2. Now do Valuation of Goodwill & Shares most easy topic and question will of 12-16 marks for sure. So prepare it very well. ( More chances that this time Valuation of Goodwill will come of 16 marks )
3. Now do small topics like EVA, Brand Valuation, Value Added Statement, Mutual Fund, Share based Payment ( More chances that question will be of Brand Valuation, Mutual Fund & VAS ) Estimated marks of this topics 12-16 marks. ( You can left Human Resource Accounting as it will be in last attempt ) Best thing if you refer Practice Manual for this.
4. Now do Amalgamation & Internal Reconstruction. Easy to do as we already studied it in IPCC also so do it speedly and generally question will come from previous exam questions only. So solve scanner of practice manual for it. May be in this attempt you will see question of both topics so prepare well. Minimum 16 marks question will be out of that.
5. In last do Consolidation Financial Statement. I f you can't do this whole topic than at least do basic question ( i.e. without adjustment like chain holding etc. ) . Surely 16 marks question will be out it.
