Suresh Prabhu to present Rail Budget in Parliament today

Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will present Rail Budget for fiscal year 2015-16 in the Parliament today.
This will be the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government's first full-fledged railway budget.
People have high expectations from the Railway Budget and are expecting clean energy, modernization of trains, passengers' safety and rail connectivity in the north-eastern states among others this time.
The Railways had earlier invited suggestions from the general public for forthcoming Railway Budget.
The tourism industry also expects the budget to focus on developing better infrastructure, provide good sanitation at tourist spots and offer tax exemptions.
