Bank unions defer one-day strike called on today

Public sector bank employee unions have deferred their one-day strike which was called on today. United Forum of Bank Unions Convener M V Murali told a news agency that the Bank unions have deferred the strike as the Indian Banks Association improved the wage revision offer. There are 27 public sector banks in the country with a combined employee strength of about 8 lakh.
