NGOs need to register with NITI Aayog for grant-in-aid: Govt

Minister of State for Planning Rao Inderjit Singh said this in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha yesterday. He said, all NGOs and voluntary organisations have to sign up on NGO-DARPAN portal to obtain a system-generated unique ID before applying for grant under any scheme of the Central government.
Mr Singh also said that as on 24th of November, nearly 81 thousand NGOs had signed up with the portal. #casansaar (NewsonAir)
