ICAI Muscat Chapter to host seminar on May 24

The Muscat Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (formed under the sponsorship of the College of Banking and Financial Studies) will host a seminar on the theme ‘Economic Growth & Need for Sustainability — Role of Financial Management’, at Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa during May 24-25, 2012.
The seminar assumes major significance since global financial direction has become the need of the hour amidst rapidly evolving challenges in different geographies. The issues at hand and the way forward will be dealt with by well-known experts in the area.
Well-known speakers include Jaydeep N Shah, President of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and Subodh Kumar Agarwal, Vice-President of ICAI. In addition, for the first time, the seminar of Muscat Chapter will also see three former Presidents of ICAI — R Balakrishnan, N P Sarda and B P Rao — dealing on various technical matters relating to the aforesaid theme.
The other speakers in the seminar will include well-known local and international experts.
The seminar is a rare opportunity for members of the local banking and financial community to hear from well-known practitioners and benefit from their insights on this dynamic and topical subject. The CA members of Chapter will gain 9 CPE hours for their attendance.
