ICAI relaxes mandatory 8 month study period for CA students

The decision to reduce the duration of the mandatory study period was taken by the institute in order to help the students who face difficulties in registering for the May 2020 intermediate examination.
As per media reports, the CA students had to undergo a mandatory eight-month study period which would have them missing out on the May 2020 intermediate examination. The institute has now reduced the study period by one month and candidates will now need to complete only a mandatory seven month study period.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India recently released the CA foundation examination results on August 13, 2019. The students who earlier on faced difficulties in registering for the examination can now complete the registration until October 1. #casansaar (Source - ICAI Website)
