RBI restricts withdrawals from Jan Dhan accounts up to Rs 10,000

RBI, in a notification, said the move is with the objective of protecting innocent farmers and rural account holders of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) from money launderers and legal consequences under the Benami Property Transaction and Money Laundering laws.
The notification said, fully Know Your Customer (KYC) compliant account holders may be allowed to withdraw 10,000 rupees from their account in a month. The apex bank also said, limited or Non KYC compliant account holders may be allowed to withdraw 5,000 rupees per month. #casansaar (PTI - NewsonAir)
