The Centre has appointed Archana Bhargava as Chairman & Managing Director of United Bank of India, a public sector lender.
Prior to this appointment, Bhargava was an Executive Director at Canara Bank (since April 1, 2011).
She has assumed charge of her new posting on Tuesday at Bengaluru, it is learnt.
Bhargava, who started her career in banking industry with Punjab National Bank, has over three decades of experience in banking industry.
