CCI finds no contravention of Competition Act by Yash Raj Films

The Competition Commission of India has held that there is no contravention of the provisions of the Act by the alleged agreement between Yash Raj Films Private Limited and its various associated enterprises. The Competition Commission of India passed its order in the case filed by Ajay Devgn Films against Yash Raj Films Private Limited.
The informant in this case, Ajay Devgn Films, stated that the agreement entered into between Yash Raj Films Private Limited and single screen film exhibitors at the time of releasing its mega starrer film Ek Tha Tiger in July/August, 2012, was anti-competitive.
The order of the Commission has been passed in Case No. 66 of 2012 and a copy of the same has been uploaded on the website of CCI at www.cci.gov.in.
