CMC Ltd. named among top firms for corporate governance

CMC Ltd., a Tata group firm and subsidiary of the country's top software company TCS, has been recognised as one of the top seven companies in India for for adopting good corporate governance practices.
In a press release, CMC said today that it has also been conferred by the the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) with 'Certificate of Recognition for Excellence in Corporate Governance' for second consecutive year.
Commenting on the recognition, CMC's MD and CEO R Ramanan said: "As in other parameters governing our business like quality, delivery excellence and customer focus, CMC Ltd has given high importance to transparency and corporate governance."
"The ICSI recognition will only spur us to raise the bar for ourselves even higher," he added.
Incorporated in 1975, CMC employs around 7400 people and has a wholly owned subsidiary in the US, called CMC Americas, Inc. (PTI)
