Companies under scanner in NSEL case: Sachin Pilot

Corporate affairs minister Sachin Pilot on Tuesday said certain entities are being scrutinized to check whether they have violated any laws in the NSEL case.
National Spot Exchange (NSEL), promoted by Jignesh Shah-led FTIL, is grappling with a Rs 5,600-crore payment crisis. "The government has taken many initiatives as far as NSEL is concerned. Initiatives have been taken by the ministry of finance, corporate affairs, consumer affairs, income tax and Sebi... the process is also under litigation in some cases. We are taking a holistic view," Pilot said here.
The crisis at the bourse, which suspended operations on July 31 following government direction, is being investigated by multiple agencies, including the economic offences wing of the Mumbai police. (Times of India)k
