The Two Days Goods and Services Tax,GST Council meeting is underway in New Delhi. It will dwell on the issue of jurisdiction over assesees and draft model laws for implementation of the GST regime from April next year. The meeting is being chaired by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
The GST Council, which has state representatives as members, will finalise the model Goods and Services Tax (GST) law, Integrated GST (IGST) law and compensation law.
The finalisation of these laws, will pave the way for their introduction in the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament, which ends on December 16. #casansaar (NewsonAir)
