Half of states expected to ratify GST by early September

Expecting this, Centre is working over issues such as fixation of rates in order to roll out the much awaited GST Bill by April, as per a report in Times of India.
The report adds that finance ministry may hold consultations over GST rate soon after. As per sources, states are suggesting the rate to be upward of 20 percent to protect their revenue. #casansaar (ZeeNews)
