Travancore Devaswom Board president Prayar Gopalakrishnan on Saturday said there was no question of permitting any organisation to conduct programmes other than devotional at Sabarimala.
The TDB chief was responding to Saturday’s report in The Hindu about a three-day residential seminar planned by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) at the Sabarimala Sannidhanam from July 18.
Mr. Gopalakrishnan clarified that the board had not taken any such decision permitting the proposed ICAI seminar at the holy hillock. Programmes other than devotional could not be permitted at Sabarimala at any cost, he said. The TDB president said he had directed the officials concerned to cancel the permission, if any, given to the ICAI for conducting the seminar. #casansaar (The Hindu)
