No scope for error in accounting system - Finance Minister

Addressing the 42nd Civil Accounts Day function in New Delhi this morning, Mr Jaitley said, there is no scope for error in the accounting system.
He said accounts need to be error free since the Government informs the nation on the state of public finances.
Mr Jailtey said, the sanctity of work is important and involves a high level of efficiency which adds to the integrity of the Government.
Mr Jaitley said that the accounting system should never come under questioning and in this regard, he is happy to note that the sanctity and credibility of the Accounting System and the Organization has been maintained over the years.
He said, effective use of technology is helping accounting system which has made tasks easier.
Mr Jaitley said, Civil Accounts Service personnel maintain the highest level of efficiency and accuracy.
On the occasion, the Finance Minister inaugurated online GPF module.
The module will help 30 lakh central government employees and withdrawal time can be reduced to one day from a week.
Mr Jaitley also inaugurated EPPO module which will benefit retired government servants. #casansaar (Source - NewsonAir)
