CA Piyush Goyal to take Additional Charge of Finance Ministry

Railway minister CA Piyush Goyal has been given additional charge of the finance ministry and Smriti Irani has been supplanted from the information and broadcasting ministry to make way for Rajyavardhan Rathore, who has been been given the reins with independant charge.

Union minister of state S.S. Ahluwalia, was assigned to the ministry of electronics and information technology and relieved of his charges of the ministry of drinking water and sanitation, relieving tourism minister Alphons Kannanthanam of the additional charge of MoS in the ministry.

Jaitley’s surgery was successful, stated AIIMS, with both recipient and donor “recovering well”. He is expected to be out of action for six to eight weeks.

Jaitley had been unwell since early April, with kidney-related problems and chest infection. He was admitted to AIIMS last month and released later; he has been undergoing regular dialysis since. #casansaar
