01-Mar-2021 , 04:00:44 pmSir, for in patient treatment, medicines are not covered by GST. But most hospitals bill with GST by inside but separate pharmacy unit arrangement to get input credit. This is bypassing the intention of law. Even if the patient object, due to MRP Billing, he may not get any cost benefit. Are Medical Insurance companies aware of this? Govt is sitting happy and hapless common man/patient pays.
