ICAI to set up a ‘Cloud Campus’ for Students

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will create a cloud campus and high technology laboratories for training students of chartered accountancy (CA), said its president K. Raghu.
The cloud campus will bring together CA students, besides hosting study material, e-books and providing real time online mentoring to students.
The high technology labs, beginning with 50 in number and to be gradually scaled up, will conduct high end training to enable CAs do audits of banks and companies in environs such as banks working with core banking solutions (CBS) and companies with enterprise resource planning (ERP) on clouds. The institute’s existing 147 labs train students in simpler work such as e-filing of TDS. (Times of India)
