Whether penalty of Rs.20000/- for delay filing of Service Tax Return is applicable to the Service Tax Returns for the F.Y.2009-10 & 2010-11?

Yes, the penal provisions of rs 20000 for non filing/late filing will be applied for the returns pertaining to previous period also

23-May-2012 , 04:21:50 pmhi ashish, penal provision of service tax charging penality of rs 20000 for late filing of service tax return is applicable from 1.4.2011, so all the return from 1.4.2011, if late filed can be pelalised rs 20000
