One of my client having commission income , the party deducting SERVICE TAX and TDS , pl let me know that both deduction is applicable

can you please detail the query,, In what manner the Deducter is deducting service tax.

TDS is however deductable, where commission income exceed Rs 5000. Rate of TDS is 10% u/s 194H

08-Jun-2012 , 05:21:33 pmservice tax is not a matter of deduction from commission on any type of business i.e service tax is charged on the bill and recovered by the service provider.
