My query is:-
M/s. ABC, a firm of chartered accountants is internal auditor of XYZ Pvt. Ltd. for the year ending 31st March, 2017. Can M/s. ABC is eligible for appointment as statutory auditor of XYZ Pvt. Ltd. in the Annual General Meeting to be held in June, 2017?

23-Feb-2017 , 03:49:59 pmYES, THEY ARE ELIGIBLE FOR STATUTORY AUDIT OF FY 17-18 BUT THEY WILL HAVE TO RESIGN FROM THE POST OF INTERNAL AUDITORS FOR THE YEAR FY 17-18.
