Firsty you have to go through the syallabus as pubished on the ICAI website. Thereafter, you can go through the study material along with Paduka's Audit book so that you can get a brief about the syallabus along with the past questions.
Furthermore, you can also see the suggested answers so that you can also know the pattern as how to write answers.

Try to understand the concepts. For this you will need atleast 3 readings. In first reading try to understand the content. In second one try to remember the specific technical jargons used & in third one try to remember the content as whole.
