Please Help: Right to information

As our firm has aaplied for an audit in a govt. dept. and we have provided the attachment as required by the respective dept. such as appointment letters, copy of balance sheets, audit report, experience letters. Now the matter arises is do those submitted documents become public documents and can they b given under Right to information act. Moreover, as per section 8(1) of the RTI, it states that the depatment cannot give any paper of any commercial concern which affects its competency and endanger the secrecy of its clients???? please do comment as the matter needs to be resolved soon...
