you must maintain daily stock a/c acording to format specifying within the rule, else you also maintain cenvat credit register, PLA a/c,

23-Sep-2011 , 01:05:21 amDear Ritesh, as per CBEC mannual now their is no requirement under the CEntral Excise Act to maintain any specific record, except daily stock register(earlier known as RG-I), for the purpose of central excise. your private records will be sufficient if they provide certain specific informations as required by the law such as information related to inputs and capital goods- opening stock, purchases, sales etc. Also, this records can be mintained electronicaly. all the requirements to maintain RG registers are removed.
