My client educational institution had taken exemption u/s 10(23C)(vi) on 17.11.2008 for the As.Yr.2009-10 onwards. Now shall we have to apply for renewal on continuance thereof w.e.f. as.Yr.2012-13 as 3 years will be expired on 31.3.2012 (from a.y.2009-10). Or the present exemption will continue forever unless and untill it will be withdrawn. Please answer my query with relevant notification.

Dear Subash,
In the instant case, the exemption will continue until it is withdrawn. [ Refer CIRCULAR NO. 7/2010 [F. NO. 197/21/2010-ITA-I], DATED 27-10-2010].
