No, Medical allowances are fully taxable. BUT MEDICAL REIMBURSEMENT UP TO RS. 15000 IS EXEMPT AGAINST BILLS PRODUCED.SO, PLZ. CHECK WHETHER YOU ARE GETTING MEDICAL ALLOW. OR REIMB.

medical allowalce is fully taxable but as far as perquisites of medical treatment is concerned 15,000 in a year is exempted if it is not made for the relative in government hospital , company's own hospital , specified hospital with specified disease.
