HOW CAN WE VERIFY THE AMOUNT OF INCOME TAX RETURN FILE ONLINE FOR ANY ASSESSE? AS OUR FIRM IS APPOINTED FOR SUCH WORK, HOW CAN IT IS POSSIBLE WITH OUR HAVING PASSWORD OF THE ASSESSEE?

26-Jan-2014 , 10:41:35 amDear Hemal ji, You can verify the income of the assesses with the help of bank statement if received through mode. For recovering password there are two options as follows: 1. Ask to assesses or assessee's CA, if possible. 2. Mail at "validate@incometaxindia.gov.in" with the following details: a)PAN b)Name of PAN holder c)Date of birth d)Father's Name e) Registered address If the above mentioned informations found correct, then department will send the password recovery mail to the mail address from which you requested for.
