Hello Everyone,
I want to know that if a Assessee (a Student) has file his personal income tax return without no any cash income (means income only from f.D intt. & Saving Bank Int.)and his tution fees paid by his parents then can his parents claim the benefit of that in his personal ITR or Not.

30-May-2013 , 04:34:37 pmAs per Sec 80C Tuition fees paid by assessee for full time education in India then he can claim deduction for tuition fees u/s 80C. it is irrelevant that assessee's children filed his IT return

31-May-2013 , 11:04:32 amtuition fees is an allowable deduction u/s 80C for an assessee who has paid it on behalf of his children. the question is irrelevant whether his child has filed the return or not.
