due to this amended restricted scope of ITR 1 , i have unknowingly filed ITR1 instead of ITR2 as i have exempted income of more than 5K in salaries. now i wana know whether i shud i revise the same n file itr 2 or simply leave it for assessment to be done .because there will be no change in the computation

If you have file your original return under section 139(1) then revise your return and file ITR-2
