I have a client who wish to file his ITR-IV for the Financial Year 2010-11, AY 2011-12, for which he has already paid tax,
Please lemme know if we can file the ITR-IV for the said period...I have tried online but the return is time barred hence can't be filled online so just temme if whether file the same in hard copy or not???
I have already filled his ITR for the Financial year 2011-12, and will also file ITR for the FY 2012-13 whenever the form will be available at site....

No, since the return is time barred, you can only file return for AY 2012-13 and 2013-14,

Return for AY 2011-12 even if filed manually, will be illegitimate.

22-Apr-2013 , 04:04:50 amyou can file manually,,,but there will be a demand of rs. 5000 as a penalty,,,,as as per sec 139(4) this return of f.y. 2010-11 has to be filled till 31.3.2013, i.e. till one year from the end of the relevant a.y. in which return has to be filled.
