Please Help: MAT Credit omitted to be carried forward in last year, can it be claimed now??

Can we claim the MAT Credit in Current Year if it was not claimed for the last two years. The assessee had MAT Credit in 2008-09 but the MAT credit was omitted to be carried forward for the last two years. Now we want to claim the MAT credit for year 2011-12. Is the possible or should we file rectification u/s 154 for the last two years??
