ihave purchase on residential plot at urban area. i want to know that whether stamp duty paid on purchase of residential plot taken as rebate u/s 88c of income tax act or not.

deduction under 80c for stamp duty paid on purchse of residential plot can be claimed only if on such plot house is constructed and income generated on such plot is taxable under the head"Income from house property". than only deduction is available else not...

Deduction u/s 80C is allowed if an individual purchases residential property. Investment in plot of land is not permissible to claim deduction.
