whether it is necessary that deductor should be transport operator to claim exemption from tax deduction u/s 194C(6)??

19-Feb-2015 , 06:34:22 pmDeductor/Assessee not necessarily be a Transport Operator. Recipient of Income/Contractor on whose income, TDS to be deducted by Assessee needs to be a Transport Operator. If Transport Operator provides PAN then Assessee is not required to deduct TDS but needs to file a nil return.
