Please Help: how to get register sole proprietorship

There is no way of registering a sole propritorship..If u want that a particular name in which u r carrying on ur business should not be used by anyone else..then u should go for trademark registration. Through that no one else will be ever able to use that name. Secondly, If u want to open a current bank account in a bank with the name of that proprietorship, they will ask you for some kind of registration , ( earlier it was easy to open a bank account in the name of proprietorship without any kind of registration , but nowadays its not ) be it under VAT dept, or Service tax dept, Or PF , ESI or anyother like dept. So, depending on the nature of work being carried out under that proprietorship, obtain registration under the suitable act as may be applying to ur propritorship firm, And based on that registration u will be able to open a current bank account and hence an identity of your proprietorship firm will get estabilished. One more thing, u should be aware of this thing, ITR of sole proprietorship is filed in the name of proprietor and not in the name of proprietorship firm. Its basically the PAN of proprietor only that will be used in everykind of registration of proprietorship firm, As proprietor and his/her proprietorship firm are not two seperate legal entities.
