Whether bank has to pay service tax on Postage & Courier Charges collected by them for outward collections?

19-May-2013 , 12:47:35 pmI THINK YES. CHECK UP WITH YOUR BANK. IF YOUR IS PAYING, YOU CAN CLAIM SERVICE TAX CREDIT - CENVAT. HOWEVER, IT MAY DEPEND ACTUAL POLICY OF BANK, SOME BANKS CHARGES INTERNALLY WITH REVERSE WORKING, IN THAT CASE WE HAVE TO REVERSE WORKING TO KNOW SERVICE TAX LEVIED. BETTER TO CHECK & CONFM WITH BANK.
