Please Help: Service Tax Partially Received

If value of service provided is Rs. 30000 then Service Tax @ 12.36% will be Rs. 3708 but if we receive total amount of Rs. 31000 (30000 towards own charges and Rs. 1000 towards Service Tax) from the party then will the service tax be computed like this :
Rs. 31000*12.36/(100+12.36??
