Sir,
I want to know the st amount payable on bills which was issued before 31.03.2011 for @10.30% but amount of this is being receive after 31.03.2011. So, is it possible we pay service tax @10.30% of this bill which was actually received or pay 12.36%. please clear my doubt.

06-Apr-2012 , 03:16:59 pmPoint of Taxation is important factor. In your case Point of taxation is the Date Of Issue of Invoice i.e. before the end of year. Hence the rate will be 10.30%
