The noose around shell companies has tightened as the government has banned 58,000 bank accounts of 35,000 alleged shell companies who have deposited and withdrawn over Rs 17,000 crore during since demonetization. In Madhya Pradesh, a one day special sitting of the state legislative assembly is being held today to pass the Madhya Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Bill.  The State Legislative Assembly Secretariat said that this sitting will be a part of the Budget Session of the legislative assembly.
