PwC re-appoints Deepak Kapoor as India chairman for 3 years

Global consulting firm PwC today said it has re-appointed Deepak Kapoor as the Chairman of PwC India for three years beginning January 2014. 

"Deepak Kapoor has been re-elected for a second term as Chairman of PwC India network of entities, for a three year period beginning on 1 Jan 2014," it said in a release. 

Kapoor will continue to have overall executive responsibility for the business of the PwC India network firms, representing them externally and internally and leading interactions with clients and people within the firm, it added. 

He will also continue to serve on the PwC Global Strategy Council, it said. 

"The Indian economy is in a very interesting phase and we believe it will lead the way for many other emerging markets. With quality at the heart of all we do, I will continue to make sure that we have the right capabilities to help our clients effectively deal with their issues and grow their business," Kapoor said in the statement.
