GOI floats Series-III of Sovereign Gold Bonds 2017-18

Issue price shall be Rs2,961 per gram with Settlement on December 4, 2017.
Government of India, in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), had floated Series III of Sovereign Gold Bonds 2017-18, for the period from October 09, 2017 to December 27, 2017 (with subscription period Monday to Wednesday every week). The Bonds will be issued on the succeeding Monday after each subscription period.
For the next subscription period i.e. November 27 - 29, 2017, the issue price shall be Rs2,961 (Rupees Two thousand Nine hundred Sixty one only) – per gram with Settlement on December 4, 2017, as also published by RBI in their Press Release dated November 24, 2017.
The Government of India in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI),has decided to allow discount of Rs50 (Rupees Fifty) per gram from the issue price to those investors who apply online and the payment is made through digital mode. #casansaar (Source - PIB)

The government has cleared the extension of tenure of managing directors of two public sector lenders -- Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) and Central Bank of India. According to sources, Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved extension of term of office of A S Rajeev, MD and CEO of BoM, for six months till his superannuation.
