Budget session from Feb 23; Rail Budget on 25th; General Budget on 29th
The Budget Session of Parliament will commence on 23rd of this month. Talking to reporters after the meeting of Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, Union minister Venkaiah Naidu said, Rail Budget to be presented on 25th, economic survey on 26th and general budget on 29th of February.
The first part of budget session will end on 16th of March and the second part will start from 25th of April . It will conclude on 13th of May. The session will have 31 sittings .
President Pranab Mukherjee will address the joint session of Parliament on the opening day. Ratification of Ordinance relating to President’s Rule in Arunachal Pradesh and passing of a Bill in respect of Ordinance regarding Enemy Properties will be taken up on priority during the session.
As Finance minister Arun Jaitley expressing hope that Goods and Services Tax Bill a reality soon, it remains to be seen whether the Bill will the see light of the day during this session.
