CA Nilesh Vikamsey appointed as Federal Bank's part-time Chairman

Vikamsey, who will assume office tomorrow, succeeds Abraham Koshy, who retired from the Board of Federal Bank last month on completion of his term of eight years.
"...RBI has accorded its approval, for appointing Nilesh S Vikamsey, who is a Director on the Board of the bank, as part time chairman of the bank for a period of two years, effective from June 20, 2015," the bank said in communique to BSE.
Vikamsey had joined the Board of Directors of the Bank in June 2011 as an independent director.
"At Federal Bank, he was instrumental in ushering in professionalism and good governance in various areas more particularly to the inspection, audit, accountancy and credit practices. The bank also owes a lot to his erudition in improving a myriad of processes that are critical to the functioning of the Bank," Federal Bank said in a statement.
A CA by profession, Vikamsey is a member of the Central Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI) for the last five years.(Economic times)
