Company Secretary clarifies on his e-mail for 2 firms
A Company Secretary here has clarified that he had filed returns of two companies, over which questions were raised in Parliament, to the Registrar of Companies under his e-mail id for his administrative convenience.
“I am a qualified practising Company Secretary. As a practising Company Secretary, I render service to a number of client companies and file the returns on behalf of all my clients to the Registrar of Companies. Quite a number of returns are filed under my e-mail id which includes advantconsult@gmail.com,” T. Balasubramanian, Partner BM and Associates, said in a statement.
Jaitley's query
He was making his clarification on the issue raised by Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley who said that the e-mail and web address of Ausbridge Holdings and Investments and Advantage Strategic Consulting, which is alleged to have invested in Aircel-Maxis, were the same in 2006.
“Since, I am the Company Secretary of Advantage Strategic Consulting Private Limited and Ausbridge Holdings and Investments Private Limited, the returns for these two companies were filed under my e-mail id. This was used mainly for my administrative convenience,” Mr. Balasubramanian said. (PTI)
