Govt to look into People's concerns on Flipkart's massive discount sale

After receiving many complaints from traders on Flipkart's massive discount sale, Government today said it will look into the concerns and take a call on whether more clarity is required on e-commerce retail business.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that people have shown their concern and the government is looking into the matter.
When asked whether the government is considering any particular policy for e-commerce retailing she said now there are many complaints and government will study the matter whether there is a need for a separate policy or some kind of clarification the government will make it clear soon.
On issue of the illegal import of firecrackers in the country, she said, the government has not issued license to anyone to import firecrackers till date and if the firecrackers are coming from the foreign countries that is illegal and the government will take strong action against the importers.
On Foreign trade policy, FTP Ms Sitharaman said government will come out soon with a new policy which will be different form the previous one.
