e-filing services under MCA-21 temporarily suspended from April 1-13
The Corporate Affairs Ministry has temporarily suspended services of e-filings under MCA-21 from April 1 to 13.
This move is intended to facilitate a smooth transition to the new forms under the new company law, sources close to the developments said.
In this April 1-13 period, all the new forms under the new company law are expected to be uploaded so that they could be used by the business community under the new company law regime.
It is however not clear whether corporate affairs ministry will accept physical filing of forms during this period.
As many as 282 sections in the new company law—which comprises 470 sections—will come into effect from April 1.
MCA-21 is the electronic backbone for dissemination of information to all stakeholders – regulator, corporates and investors.
It enables the business community to register a company and file statutory documents quickly and easily. Through this portal, public could get easy access to relevant records and get their grievances redressed effectively.(The Hindu)
