ICAI relaxes mandatory 8 month study period for CA students
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has decided to relax the mandatory study period for the CA students. The students are supposed to complete an eight-month study period in order for the students to appear for the intermediate examination after completing the CA foundation exam.
The decision to reduce the duration of the mandatory study period was taken by the institute in order to help the students who face difficulties in registering for the May 2020 intermediate examination.
As per media reports, the CA students had to undergo a mandatory eight-month study period which would have them missing out on the May 2020 intermediate examination. The institute has now reduced the study period by one month and candidates will now need to complete only a mandatory seven month study period.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India recently released the CA foundation examination results on August 13, 2019. The students who earlier on faced difficulties in registering for the examination can now complete the registration until October 1. #casansaar (Source - ICAI Website)
