ICAI to hold campus placements from Feb 17
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is to hold its campus placement programme for newly qualified chartered accountants (CAs) between February 17 and March 15 at 16 centres across the country.
According to newly elected ICAI President K. Raghu, 2,690 candidates have registered for the campus placement programme. In all 35 organisations and 62 interview teams have confirmed their participation in the programme.
Prominent names in Indian industry, including Accenture, Amazon Development Centre India, BPCL, Bosch Ltd, Cipla Ltd, Credit Guarantee Fund Trust For Micro And Small Enterprises, Credit Suisse Services India Ltd, Evolutionary Systems Ltd, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd, Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd, ITC Ltd, JM Financial, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd, LIC Housing Finance Ltd, MMTC Ltd, TCS, Federal Bank, UTI Asset Management Company Pvt Ltd and Whirlpool of India Ltd have confirmed their participation in the placement programme.
In 2013, as many as 120 companies participated in the programme, with 1,600 candidates being offered jobs. Companies that hired CAs in 2013 were mostly from the IT industry, financial services, oil & gas refining, banking, BPO, telecommunications, mining, FMCG and agro industries. (The Hindu)
