The government has extended the last date for filing income tax returns, Press Trust of India reported.
Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia said the last date for filing income tax returns has been extended to August 5, 2016, the agency said.
Generally, July 31 is the last date for filing income tax returns for individuals.
